Hi! I’m Alexandra.

I’m an English teacher turned UX Designer.

I help companies make beautiful and thoughtful digital experiences through a diligent understanding of the needs of humans & stakeholders alike.

As a UX Designer

I add value to companies and their products by making them human centered. This means finding the sweet spot between the needs of the user and the business objectives, striving to create better experiences for all involved.

As a former foreign language teacher

I am a great listener, a team supporter, problem solver and solution facilitator. What I loved most about this role was the rewarding process of empowering each student to find and harness their unique voice.

As a human being

I am a challenge embracer, balance seeker, playful explorer, and curious observer. Originally from the US, I have been living in Germany since 2015. I thrive when I am learning from and connecting with others.

My Design Approach.

One of the things I love about design is the unique goals and challenges of each project, and therefore different set of tools required for its solution. I approach every challenge based on its unique needs, and by using a combination of the following resources and skills, I am able to flexibly respond at any point in the process.

Collaborative Design.

Interacting with people is my favorite part of the design process. My favorite tools for communication; I listen, empathize, and dig deeper by asking questions. My 3+ years of experience in designing lessons and teaching English as a foreign language gives me a plethora of techniques for breaking communication barriers and deepening understanding.
